Linda Prieto is the founder of Telalinda. Telalinda developed from the love of vintage sewing. Mostly self-taught through trial and error, sewing was always a constant. The interest in vintage and old things began while attending flea markets with her dad throughout the city of Chicago. The eras that inspire her garment sewing are the 1930’s and 1940’s. As her collection of vintage fabric accumulated, the intention came about when longing for more of that special piece. With her background in digital imaging, Linda learned additional features of Photoshop and became competent in Illustrator to re-create authentic timeless pattern designs.

Telalinda is a combination of her name and the word fabric in spanish, translating to beautiful fabric. With her immediate family in the U.S and her extended family in Ecuador, Telalinda is dedicated to them. Each fabric is named after a family member.
